Mike Ponds - Xencom Facility Management, LLC - President
Co-founder and partner. A graduate of Mississippi State University, Mike began his shopping center career in the mid 1970's, as a Construction Coordinator for Paul Broadhead & Associates. In the early 1980's, he relocated to Dallas with the then Meridian, Mississippi based company. In 1989, the company was acquired by Marathon US Realties from M.G. (Buddy) Herring and Mike was promoted to Corporate Facilities Manager. During his 30 plus years in the industry, he has working in all phases of retail development, construction, operations and management. He has served on the faculty of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) University of Shopping Centers and holds the professional designation of CSM (Certified Shopping Center Manager).
Michael Ponds - Vice President
In 2007, Michael joined Xencom to manage the day-to-day operations and grow the business. He attended the University of North Texas majoring in finance and real estate and in 2000 founded, managed and operated a successful mortgage company, eventually selling it in 2006. His business development, communication, and sales skills will compliment Xencom's future success.
Randy Jones - Operations
In 2000, Randy joined Xencom to purchase all supplies / equipment and coordinate equipment maintenance. Since his arrival, he has negotiated national accounts with janitorial equipment manufacturers and janitorial supply vendors. Randy also oversees time collection data, payroll processing and company wide management information systems operations.
Lawrence Bennett - Regional Manager
In the early 70's, Lawrence began his building services career in Kansas City, as Branch Manager for a large commercial janitorial contractor, AMKO Services, Inc. After 12 years in Kansas City, overseeing such accounts as Proctor & Gamble, Target, K-Mart and United Parcel Service, Lawrence was promoted and relocated to Houston. There he spent another decade servicing accounts such as Budweiser, United Parcel Service and The University of Houston. In 1999, Lawrence joined Xencom and currently supervises a large block of retail properties.
Leroy Aguilar - Regional Manager
In 1986, Leroy made the transition from Shift Supervisor to Housekeeping Manager at the Winrock Mall in Albuquerque. In 1999, he became a Xencom employee and two years later was promoted to Regional Manager. Leroy is an active member of several trade organizations and keeps himself current on the latest cleaning products and procedures. As Regional Manager, Leroy supervisors some of the largest and most successful super-regional shopping malls in the country.
Ben Duran - Regional Manager
For 15 years Ben, managed offshore platforms, working in the mechanical and operation field. He held the position as safety chairman for two years and was involved in the company federation. In 2000 Ben entered into the land based operations field as Operations Director for a Living History Museum, overseeing historical restoration, designing and maintaining computer networks and point of sales. Ben worked with the Board of Directors to develop new venues and the additions of historic structures to the property. In 2005 Ben joined Xencom Facility Management as an Account Manager for Mall of Acadiana. In 2006 Ben was employed by ERMC as an Area Manager where he managed Security, Operation and Janitorial staffs in malls across Louisiana and Texas. In 2007 Ben became the Branch Manager for the State of Texas overseeing properties in Texas and Louisiana. Ben was part of the Disaster Recovery Team. Ben worked with Mall Management to reopen malls affected by Hurricane Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. Ben was also in charge of overseeing Lowe's contracts involving Densified Floor applications and final clean-up. In 2008 Ben returned to Xencom as a Regional Manager overseeing properties in Texas and Louisiana. Responsibilities include construction clean-up, property start-ups, Janitorial and Operations.
