Zach Stern President of Xencom Green Energy LLC, has successfully passed his LEED AP exam. This will further enhance Xencom's opportunities to help our customers with Green Projects and/or LEED Certification.
PREIT (Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust) awards three large contracts in the Northeast to Xencom. Completion of the Cumberland Mall, Springfield Mall and Magnolia Mall projects will bring the total number of PRIET centers controlled by Xencom to six. The contracts provide for installation of a Honeywell WEBs based Energy Management System, with full control of the HVAC systems and interior and exterior lighting. Xencom projects the payback, through energy savings, to be less than 30 months.
General Growth Properties, Inc. awards 21 janitorial contracts from their upper and south-central REIT mall portfolio to Xencom. As a preferred janitorial vendor, Xencom has more than ten years experience providing quality cleaning service for some of General Growth's largest and most successful centers.
Formation of a new ESCO (Energy Service Company) is announced. Xencom Green Energy, LLC will offer energy procurement (electricity and gas), curtailment and demand response programs, utility monitoring, sustainable projects (LEED & solar), carbon foot print monitoring and a total enterprise solution to the shopping center industry. CEO, Bob Cross and President, Zach Stern bring many years of experience and expertise to this new venture. Zack is also President & CEO of Elemco Controls, a New York based company that specializes in energy solutions software, control systems and metering.
Xencom is chosen, as janitorial contractor, to grand open the Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, a 725,000 GLA, upscale, open-air, shopping center. Xencom has been privileged to provide energy systems and services for the MGHerring Group for more than 20 years.
Xencom is designated a "Preferred Janitorial Vendor" by Jones, Lang LaSalle.
Michael Ponds (son of co-founder) joins Xencom, as Vice President of Business Development. In addition to new business, Michael will oversee current daily operations and assist with customer support.
